Apprentice Service Engineer

Are you driven for your work to make a difference? Do you like solving tough problems and learning something new everyday? You may be perfect for this exciting role!

Phoenix Equipment is currently seeking a qualified individual to become a full time Apprentice Service Engineer in the analytical instrumentation field at our Rochester, NY facility.

Responsibilities

  • Shadow and assist Service Engineers in their daily tasks
  • Work with mentors to learn necessary skills, techniques, and processes
  • Drive to customer location when required
  • Work closely with customers to insure they can advance their important research with our help

Skills

  • Knowledge of and interest in electronics is desired
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in working hands-on is required
  • Good communication
  • Teamwork mindset
  • Dedication to curiosity and knowledge growth

Education/ Training

  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Minimum high school degree required, associates or higher degree in engineering, engineering/business, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering preferred
  • Training in electronics from the military a plus

Calibration Service Engineer

Phoenix Equipment is currently seeking a qualified individual to become a full time Calibration Service Engineer in the analytical instrumentation field at our Rochester, NY facility.

Responsibilities

  • Complete equipment service repairs (in-house and field service) on a variety of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain service reporting records on all service requests
  • Drive to customer location when required
  • Work closely with customers to insure they can advance their important research with our help

Skills

  • Laboratory background with calibration experience is desired
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of laboratory instruments and procedures

Service Engineer

Phoenix Equipment is currently seeking a qualified individual to become a full time Service Engineer in the analytical instrumentation field at our Rochester, NY facility. This is an independent role that reports to the Shop Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Complete equipment service repairs (in-house and field service) on a variety of laboratory equipment
  • Maintain service reporting records on all service requests
  • Drive to customer location when required. Some overnight travel may be required
  • Maintain an independent work routine with teamwork support

Skills

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering principles/ equipment

  • Background in equipment or medical manufacturing a plus
